Experiential Learning Visit by Honeydew School Students
At Honeydew School, Mahasamund, learning goes beyond classrooms! Our young learners recently embarked on an educational field trip to explore important public service institutions — the local Post Office, Police Station, Shri Akalpurakh Hospital, and the Railway Station.
During the visit, students met the Postmen and Postmaster to understand how letters and parcels are delivered. At the Police Station, they interacted with Police Inspectors, learning about law enforcement and community safety.
Their stop at Shri Akalpurakh Hospital was equally enriching — students met Dr. Dilpreet Kaur Gurudutta, a dentist, and also explored the Physiotherapy Section to understand the importance of healthcare and wellness.
At the Railway Station, the children were thrilled to meet the Station Manager and Station Master, saw the Route Relay Interlocking Panel, and even purchased tickets at the railway counter.
To express their gratitude, the students presented handmade greeting cards to everyone they met — spreading smiles and appreciation everywhere they went.
This visit gave our students a wonderful opportunity to learn about the functioning of essential services, develop respect for community helpers, and gain practical life lessons that go hand in hand with classroom education.
